Break your usual routine and get out to a craft show this weekend! We are Handmade Nashville and we’ll be in Bellevue at the Red Caboose Park on Saturday May 8, 2021 with 40 or so of our talented handmade artisan friends and some tasty food truck vendors for our 6th Annual Arts & Crafts Show!
If you still need more motivation to get out of the house and shop for one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, then read on for TEN reasons why you should shop small on May 8, 2021!
1. Find cute and unique handmade gifts and home décor!
We think the top reason to head to the Red Caboose Park this Saturday is to browse the awesome arts and crafts that our vendors have made for this event! The craft show will have a wide variety of artisans set up including jewelers, fiber artists, soapmakers, embroiderers, candlemakers, and woodworkers.
If you need last-minute Mother’s Day gifts or something completely cool and one-of-a-kind for someone else in your family, our craft show is definitely the best choice if you’re shopping in Bellevue or nearby!
2. Support the local economy!
Yeah, it’s a bit cliche, but it’s true that out of every $100 spent at local businesses, $68 will stay in our local community (if you don’t believe us, check out what Forbes has to say about it). So, instead of heading to a big box store on Saturday to buy something that was made in a factory overseas, spend that money in your community instead!
3. Support local artists and artisans
Hey, it’s been a rough year for everyone, but artisans and artists have been hit really hard because many of the events we rely on were canceled in 2020. You’ll be sending a message of support just by coming to our arts and crafts show!
4. Fresh air!
Have you been spending too much time inside the past few months, years…forever? Us too! Right about now is THE BEST time of the year to be outside, spring has sprung and the world is in full bloom, but it’s not face-meltingly hot just yet! The Handmade Nashville Arts and Crafts show is an outside event and the weather forecast is great for Saturday!
The Red Caboose Park is in a fantastic location just a few minutes drive from the Bellevue mall, and about twenty minutes drive west of Nashville on I-40. Use our show as an excuse to get outside in the fresh air for a few hours!
5. Meet new people!
Our vendors are super friendly and we’ve had a really great vibe from our visitors for the 6 years that we’ve been doing this. Come out and make some new friends!
6. Get a SWAG BAG!
We’ve put together 25 awesome swag bags full of samples and coupons! When you arrive you’ll get a punch card, fill it out at the booths and return to get a swag bag (while supplies last). We’ve had people lined up to get these in past years!

7. Bring your mom and make a day of it!
Want to make memories with your mom this Mother’s Day weekend? She’ll love our craft show so make a date with her and come to Bellevue!
8. Kids and dogs love the Red Caboose Park!
One of the reasons we love to host events at the Red Caboose Park is the fantastic park itself. There are open spaces, shaded spots to sit, well-maintained walkways, a seriously fabulous playground and, of course, an actual Red Caboose! Bring the whole family!
9. FOOD!
Come for the crafts, stay for the food! We’ll have three amazing local food truck vendors on site with mouth-watering delights!
Fried Green Tomatoes with incredible southern dishes including fried green tomatoes!
Retro Sno with their original shaved ice
Nashville Chicken and Waffles offering delicious, authentic chicken and waffles
10. It’s FUN! We’re FUN!
Last, but not least, our events are fun! We love what we do and the people who come to see us love the unique arts and crafts, and the friendly atmosphere!
Make plans to drop by and see us on Saturday! We’ll be at the park from 10 am to 4pm. You can join our event on Facebook to get reminders and see previews of the kinds of items we’ll have available.
